Heart and Vascular Center

The Heart and Vascular Center at Floyd Memorial Hospital is home to Southern Indiana’s only open-heart surgery program. We feature two state-of the-art cardiac surgical suites, two Cardiac Catheterization labs, an outpatient cardiac care unit, an inpatient cardiovascular care unit, an accredited Cardiac Rehab facility, and a Heart Failure Outpatient Clinic.

Our Center offers the full spectrum of services from non-invasive diagnostic testing (including a 64-slice cardiac CT Scanner, nuclear medicine and fully equipped vascular lab) to more invasive treatment options and surgeries.

Strategically located near the hospital’s Emergency Center, the Heart and Vascular Center offers the area’s only 24/7 cardiac intervention response team. Our team is specially trained to respond quickly to emergent heart attack cases by immediately moving the patient from the Emergency Center to the Cardiac Cath Lab for intervention - a tactic that can stop a heart attack from happening. In addition to our services in New Albany, Floyd Memorial also offers the Charlestown Cardiovascular Center, conveniently located in the heart of Charlestown bringing cardiac care and additional outpatient services closer to its residents.

The Center, located next to the primary care practice of Joseph Beaven, MD,  offers outpatient cardiovascular diagnostic procedures including nuclear cardiac, EKG, stress testing and other non-invasive testing.  For an appointment with a cardiologist or to schedule testing call 812-256-3589.
